UHURU MUIGAI KENYATTA IS KENYA’S 4TH PRESIDENT


Kenyan presidential vote tally shows The
Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta has
won the presidential race with 50.03% of
the vote. With results of all the 290 Kenyan
constituencies and the 1 diaspora
constituency announced by the
Independent Electoral and Boundaries
Commission (IEBC) ,Uhuru garnered a total
of 6,173,433 votes out of a total of
12,338,667 ballots cast.
The
IEBC will audit the results on Saturday
morning before making an announcement
at 11am Saturday. Should the vote count
hold, Uhuru wins the election in the first
round in a very small margin to become
the fourth president of the republic of
Kenya. The winner needed to win 50% of
the total votes cast plus 1 vote, and Uhuru
has eclipled that threshold by 4,109 votes.
His
closest challenger was Prime Minister
Raila Odinga who garnered a total of
5,340,456 votesUhuru
